Tom Kölker is a Dutch user experience designer based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. With a background in industrial design, Tom combines his knowledge of product design with technology and user-centred design thinking.
Tom received his BSc (2012) & MSc (2016) in Industrial Design from Eindhoven University of Technology. During his study he developed heavy interest in (semi) digital products & services. This in combination with gained knowledge of user centred design thinking, strong analytical skills, and a reflective, iterative & hands-on approach, formed the basis of Tom’s current UX work.
Within a design process he combines sketching, structured brainstorming techniques, analytical skills, and an iterative, hands-on approach to design fitting and elegant (semi) digital products & services.
Tom currently does this at IN10 and DOOR, where is responsible for the entire spectrum of UX work within a project: from concept to wireframes, from idea to user test. Over the entirety of the process he collaborates closely with strategist, producers, visual designers, & developers to achieve and ensure a high standard of usability and refinement.
Doing so for a broad range of clients: from local governments, institutions, to museums, & brands.
